Why have the trees been cut down?
Date: 24th Feb 2017 @ 10:19am
Welcome back after half term. There has been a change to the landscape on the bank above the upper playground,. In preparation for the new building, the trees have been cut down. We are waiting for the final approval for the new building. There are plans to start at the end of June and they hope it will take 10 months to build.
So why cut down the trees now? Well the answer to that is that you are not allowed to cut down trees whilst birds nest in them. By cutting the trees now the birds will have plenty of other trees to safelyin which to build their nests.
It is lighter on the playground and when the new building is built there will be more trees planted.
