Welfare & Attendance
If your child is absent, please call the school office before 9am on 01923 825 991 option 1 to advise us of the reason. Alternatively, please email the school at email@example.com
It is very important for your child to be punctual. Lateness disrupts the start of the day for your child and the other children in the class. If you arrive late to school with your child you must report to the school office to sign your child in. Children must be collected promptly at the end of the school day. Registers close at 9:00am. Children arriving after these times are marked as late on the register. It is equally important that you collect your child on time at the end of the school day as it can be upsetting for a child waiting for parents or carers to arrive. If an unavoidable situation occurs, please contact the school office as soon as possible.
Requests for Exceptional Leave must always be in advance and in writing on the form below. The Headteacher will communicate with families applying for Exceptional Leave to stress the importance of good attendance habits and the links between attainment and attendance. It is at the Headteacher’s discretion to decide on what they feel is a reasonable amount of time for family emergencies and if Exceptional Leave is authorised, work will be set for the child to complete whilst absent from school and will be checked by the Headteacher upon their return to school. Absences are unlikely to be authorised if a child’s attendance is below 96%.
Please complete and sign the Permission to Administer Medication in School form below if you have prescribed medication that needs to be administered to your child during the school day. Please contact the Welfare Officer, if you have any medical questions.
