Remembrance
Date: 21st Nov 2021 @ 11:12am
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
This time of year is a time to reflect. A time to remember and appreciate the sacrifice of others. I was incredibly proud of the children as we held a 2-minute silence on the playground. They were respectful and reflective. On Sunday, pupils from the school will mark remembrance by placing a wreath on the Northwood memorial. It is an event that this school has proudly participated in for a number of years and reflects how much we value our place in the community.
As Christmas grows ever nearer, we are starting to prepare for the production. We also have the switching on of the Northwood Lights next weekend. Hearing Christmas songs in singing assembly brought home how much we missed out on last year. Information about the events will be emailed shortly.
Have a safe weekend.
